SOLUTION-BASED PROJECTS

Natural Pact has developed a methodology of regenerative agroforestry that optimizes decarbonization of companies, regeneration of biodiversity, conservation of natural ecosystems, family agroforestry, ecological agriculture with medicinal virtues of the feeder forest, territorial anchoring and community well-being.

Our organization is committed to an integral ecological balance in the Green Valleys where forests act as gigantic carbon sinks while optimizing the diversity of ecosystems.

Thanks to its shared and capitalized experiences within the Regenerative Development Hub of Costa Rica, Natural Pact involves local populations at every stage of the project.

In partnership with these communities, Natural Pact's multidisciplinary team, composed of a dozen people (agronomists, foresters, landscape engineers, ecologists, economists, financial experts, social leaders, communication and community management project managers, etc.), develops programmes to regenerate forest ecosystems in areas that are degraded or threatened by human activities.

INNOVATIONS

Natural Pact is modern and pioneer, both in the definition of its objectives and in its integrative approach to cutting-edge technologies.

White Quadcopter Drone

Green finance and blockchain technology

Contemporary carbon markets do not sufficiently value biodiversity.

To finance reforestation and conservation programmes to optimise the absorption of CO₂e but also the protection and regeneration of biodiversity, Natural Pact, in partnership with Nature Economy & Conservation, has created the "Treediversity" token.

Drones and artificial intelligence for ecosystem regeneration

The technology used is used to map the forest ecosystem of a selected area and to optimize the implementation of biodiversity regeneration programs as closely as possible to its natural state.

Holistic Bio-Regeneration Methodology

  • Co-creative and community-based workshops to design the project

  • Development of a common vision

  • Adoption of the Natural Pact charter by all stakeholders

Inclusive workshops

  • 3D mapping (incl. drones)

  • Forestry diagnosis (incl. native species, soil and water analysis)

Zoning and diagnostic

Master plan and recommendations:

  • Agroforestry / biodiversity

  • Biocontrol

  • Carbo-neutrality (CO2 emissions mitigation plan)

  • Training needs

  • Land’Art approach

  • Definition of M&E indicators

  • Action plan

Eco-Work – Agroforestry 3.0

  • Construction of native nurseries

  • Location of trees (stakes)

  • Digitisation of information

  • Reforestation programs in collaboration with local communities, schools and stakeholders

  • Field and digital monitoring

  • ISO 14064-2 certification process

Implementation of the action plan

We can also create a customized offset unit to calculate the volume of CO₂e and the compensation of your emissions for each product or service provided by your organization (companies, institutions, individuals…).

THE TREE, OUR MAIN ALLY

Virgin forests, rare ecosystems that have never known human intervention, are now on the verge of extinction. 31% of the earth's surface, or nearly 4 billion hectares of forest, contains more than 2/3 of the world's terrestrial living species. Tropical forests, which constitute only 6% of the world's land, contain more than 50% of the world's biodiversity.

Only 1% of the 16,000 tree species in the Amazon forest capture 50% of the CO₂e (Rainfor study). In other words, of these 16,000 tree species listed, nearly 200 trees "breathe" more deeply and thus absorb more than CO₂e.

Every year, 15 million hectares of primary tropical forests, the size of England, are deforested. As a result of this destruction, a secondary forest grows back but with 5 times less plant species.

The tree, a social being in its own, is a key element of life on earth: air, soil, energy, climate and water. Through its habitat and food, the tree is also a vital aid for pollinators (bees and other insects, bats, etc.) who ensure biodiversity, biocontrol and agricultural yield.
